The combination of the blues-soaked voice and guitar of Susan Tedeschi with the brilliant, long-form slide guitar solos of her husband, Derek Trucks, would be plenty, but they’ve also assembled a band that loves to jam and does so imaginatively.
But after last year’s zoo debut by the Tedeschi Trucks Band, she said, “That’s the best show we’ve ever had here.” It was hard to argue, for that memorable performance mixed blues, soul, rock, funk and masterful musicianship into something both exciting and entrancing.
